ADVANCED RESOURCE RECOVERY CENTRE
Bendigo Project
AET is developing an Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC) for the City of Greater Bendigo and the surrounding region.
Our goal is to divert 100% of waste from landfill.
- The ARRC will be a fully enclosed facility that will receive residual waste from the City of Greater Bendigo and the surrounding region.
- It will incorporate the latest in waste treatment technology, sterilising, separating, and sorting the waste into organics and recyclate (mixed recyclables).
- Diverting the organics from landfill to either compost or bioenergy will eliminate methane generation and result in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for the region.
- The recyclate will be further separated into valuable materials that can be recycled, returning valuable resources to the emerging circular economy.
